Well for starters, you (as in "me") get sick the very first day you get there and spend majority of the trip sleeping, drinking gatorade, and wearing fever bugs. *Fever bugs are little temperature stickers that tell you if you have a fever and are in the design of little, you know, bugs.*
Then, you spend each day going out to eat while trying to show the city to your dad who has never been to Houston before.
Next, you sign up half of your day touring the university's campus until you're pale in the face and negotiating the perks and consequences of just lying down on the floor and dying right there.
Every single room I was in, was shockingly cold and I had no idea what to think of it. It is so incredibly hot and humid in Texas that when you get in touch with some air conditioning, you pretty much thank the Sweet Lord Baby Jesus a thousand times...until the a/c is on full blast for hours and you're not sure how you went from Texas to Alaska in a matter of minutes.
Remember that Raven picture from a few posts earlier?

Aside from all of the mishaps, I still had a great time! Taking a little break from the usual is never a bad thing, so I tried to make the most out of my time there. I love being able to see my family when I can and being with my little niece is always my favorite thing.
Here are some of the highlights of my trip:
If you have ever been to Texas Roadhouse...you know how deadly this bread is.
I'm actually very convinced that Donut Heaven might just be Heaven.
But, of course, my absolute favorite part was when the airline lost my luggage on the way back home.
Womp, womp, wompity, womppppp.
But, then they found it in Burbank and sent it right back on ova to Sin City!
