There is so much going on right now! I'm trying to juggle school, sleep, and a personal life.
It is so hard. One, because I loooooveeee sleep, but I'll give it up if I have to--but I like to function properly and not go cray. Two, I like taking breaks from homework. And three, I'd rather not have the stress (but of course, I'll do that thing where sometimes I pick the decision that will only add more stress later).
Honestly, I thought last semester was so hard because of my reporting and production class both needing so much time put into it that I was basically living on campus by how many late nights I was spending at school.
Now, it's like I'm getting pulled in different directions and I want to be everywhere, buuuut I have to remember that one, I can't be in two (or even three!) places at once; two, I have to take care of myself and make sure I'm not neglecting any essential needs; and finally, three, don't forget about the important things.
And by important things I mean other classes, sanity, and most of all, just being fully present in whatever you're doing. It's easy to just sit somewhere because you "have to be there," but it's a completely different thing when you're there, comprehending everything, and being aware and reacting to what it is you're doing. (In class, at work, driving, at dinner, etc.)
I'm on this new kick of deadlines and taking things one step at a time, so in order to manage my time right I like to set timers on things that I do, so I don't have the leeway of getting distracted or spend too much time on one thing and not making enough time for another (eventually, you'll find a good balance) Plus, sometimes it's better working under pressure!
So, if you're stressed out this week (like me) take a breather, eat a cookie, say a prayer or two, take a 90 minute nap (apparently, it's good for creativity), and take things one at a time.
On a sidenote, I'm also dealing with my wonderful habit of saying the wrong thing and apologizing a million times and my favorite "uhh...nevermind!"
So good, so so good.
