Twenty-One.

10/14/13

I know, I'm sorry, I lied.  I got a little caught up in something (a nap) and couldn't find the time to blog on Saturday!

But, I still turned 21 a week and a half ago and it's been great.

Of course, since I am from Vegas, nightclubs and blended drinks were involved.  So that Thursday night, I had dinner with a couple of girlfriends and my birthday twin Jayna at STK at The Cosmopolitan.
And once the clock struck midnight, we walked into Tao Nightclub and got carded for the first time! (Getting carded once you're 21 is an anticipated feeling)  Clubbing is a whole other experience and dancing any way you want to is completely allowed!

Celebrated that Friday night with a nice dinner with some of my close friends and family at this cute, little restaurant called Honey Salt!

And then ended my night at another club called Surrender and really celebrated 21!
I ended up spending the rest of my birthday weekend relaxing.  And then really ended my birthweek with The Avett Brothers concert.
Turning 21 was very eventful.  The fact that I look like I'm 12 and can walk through the casino anywhere I can without worry is a great feeling.  So, I love getting carded so I can throw it in their face like, "Yeah, I'm 21 and I can sit here and order that if I wanna!"  Even though I just simply added another year to my life, 21 also opened my eyes to a few things.  If you want to start a new beginning, do it.  If you want to be a better person, be it.  If you have a goal (be it long-term or short-term), GO GET IT.
Most importantly, leave your past in the past.
Who you were 3 years ago or 8 years ago is definitely not who you are now.  You outgrow things, clothes, and people.  And there are bigger and better things out there to help you become the person you're meant to be.
So my message for all of you, do you boo!

*I wish I could give y'all more pictures, but these are the only ones I have on my phone*
