Hairsay

9/29/13

First, I have to acknowledge that today marks the beginning of my birthweek.  And I realize how incredibly vain that sounds to celebrate a birthweek, but I've only started celebrating a birthweek since I turned 20 last year.  Actually, if I'm being honest, I think we've all been celebrating our birthweeks since we could read a calendar.  (As if you haven't counted down to your birthday!)

Anyway, I'm turning 21 this Friday, so a birthweek is completely justified in my opinion!

But getting down to business.

Ever since I can remember, one of my biggest problems was my hair.  Starting around age 5, my hair has been a big, fat furball.  It is so curly, poofy, and unruly that I've devoted more time than I should on it.

So, there's this thing.  It's called a Brazilian Blowout.  Before you let your mind wander and play the guessing game--it's a kind of keratin treatment to (in simpler terms) tame and somewhat straighten frizzy hair (like mine).
...And it works.  Don't believe me?  See for yourself.
Insane, right?
My hair is so embarrassingly unhealthy and knotty, I feel so bad for my hairstylist--she is a miracle worker.  Although, my hair is not completely straight after I wet it, it's a lot easier to style (seeing as it takes me almost 20-30 minutes to straighten it) and it's so smooth and soft!  I still got luvv for my curls and its "beachy" look that it gives me now.

To top it off, I got rid of the ombre and then dyed it a little darker/lighter at the same time.  I apologize, I can't really explain what it looks like!  The lighting in the picture up there makes it look a lot lighter than it actually is.
Yay, Nay?
But, not to worry--my hair is still big and full of secrets, so the only things changing for awhile is my hair color, the frizziness, and of course, my age.
