Fall into Fall Television

9/23/13

If you don't know me, then you're probably unaware of my love for television.  So, I won't ever be the person who says, "I don't have time for T.V."

Just like bathing suits and Pumpkin Spice Lattes, T.V. shows come in seasons.  This fall, all of my favorites are coming back.

*WARNING: IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP WITH REVENGE, ONCE UPON A TIME, MODERN FAMILY, NASHVILLE, THE BIG BANG THEORY, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER--SPOILERS AHEAD*

TONIGHT (MONDAY) is the night!  We are finally moving forward and into the last season where we actually get to know the mom!  After 8 seasons, we finally got to see what the future Mrs. Moseby looks like.  (Who, in my opinion looks a little like Lily) Not exactly sure what to expect from season 9, but at least we can answer the show's question.

Wednesday, we get a whole hour of the extended Delgado-Pritchett-Dunphy family!  With a new family member and the family just getting itself into more sticky situations, it all picks up again for season 5.  Word on the street is that a big wedding is in talks for the season and it affects everyone.
Late Wednesday night, ABC is taking you back to the state where it all started for country music: Tennessee.  In this case, we're talking about Nashville.  Gearing into the second season, we've now been introduced to important characters and story lines  where politicians get busted, musicians go to rehab, and lots of steamy hookups.  We pick back up into this new season where we'll find out what happens with Maddie's paternal issues, how Juliette is dealing with her recent loss, Gunnar and Scarlett's future, and of course, what in the world happens after the big car accident that Rayna and Deacon got themselves into.

Thursday night, get ready for quick and witty remarks, a sassafrass named Penny, and possibly, the "Soft Kitty" song.   The show is now in it's 7th season and it's one of those shows that gradually gains its popularity, as opposed to other shows that die off after it's first few seasons.

Sunday night starts off with twisted fairytales that all takes place in Storybrooke.  Except, this season--we get out of Storybrooke for just a moment.  As if figuring out which character is in which fairytale and who's connected to who wasn't hard enough, the end of season 2 threw us a major curveball when we find out that Henry is not, what you would call in Harry Potter terms, a muggle.  His family lineage goes back all the way to the Dark One aka Mr. Gold aka Rumplestiltskin.  Season 3 starts off with the continuing search for Henry all the way in where we grew up to think was a happy place (but I guess is NOT), Neverland.  Ironically, he is now a Lost Boy.

Sunday, that vengeful Emily Thorne (aka Amanda Clarke) is back and ready to get justice for family's name.  Last season, we found out that Victoria had given up her son, Patrick, when he was just a baby--she, herself, was quite young when she had him.  An important cast member was killed off and Grayson Global is starting to show New York City who is boss.  It was quite an eventful season, if you ask me.  However, the last few minutes of the season finale was the ultimate cliffhanger as Ms. Thorne revealed her true identity to her first love, Jack.  That, my friends, is what I am looking forward to seeing this season.  As much as I love Daniel Grayson, I am sucker for unrequited love.
